HANS REXEISEN SS HONOR RING

This SS Honor Ring was presented to SS-Sturmbannführer Hans Rexeisen. Rexeisen was a prisoner of war with the Russians during the 1st World War, and he spent time in the Army Reserve during the Weimar Period. He joined the SS in 1937, and by 1939 was a Sturmführer with the S.D. Later, he was assigned to the “R.S.H.A.”, and was assigned with an Einsatzgruppe on the staff of the notorius Odilo Globocnik. Globocnik was head of the concentration camps in Poland.

Himmler later transferred Globocnik to a police job along the Italian border in Trieste. It was there that he worked against anti-partisans. Rexeisen was on his staff.
